THE WEEK HEALTH
From May 9th to May 13th we are going to celebrate the week health .
This week in health is dedicated to providing children with information and activities to help them live a healthy life. For example, they are going to receive information about ergonomics. A doctor will come to our school to teach them good habits .
Also , on Tuesday we are going to have a healthy breakfast and talk about what important breakfast is , because it determinates how you feel the rest of the day.
During this week we are going to teach children how to be healthy with amazing activities such as, physical exercises , dancing (aerobic sessions), and walking.
So that, on Friday we will go to Vivero mountain to spend the whole day, and we will have a healthy lunch with salad , meat and fruit.
Apart from that ,year by year ,on thursday morning we celebrate our famous flowers market. During the year ,children from our school use to plant and water flowers which are going to be sold in the market that we celebrate at school. Children and parents can buy these flowers and the money they win it will be used to pay the activities related to this week.

Tree Day in Aperribai School
TREE DAY 2011
Each year, in Spring, our school students participate in a special
Tree day event designed just for children, “ Schools Tree Day”. It is
a wonderful opportunity for children to make a contribution to our
natural environment and have lots of fun at the same time.
Students help out by planting and caring different trees and shrubs to improve the environment in which they live.
They learn how to plant trees and at the same time their names and
characteristics and how to care them during the year.

Aperribai School- Korrika
Korrika is a non-stop relay race throughout all the Basque Country to support the Basque language, hundreds of thousands of runners and several cultural events and celebrations in the whole Basque country as the race takes place.
Korrika is organized by AEK, an organization which teaches Basque and Basque literacy to adults. The objective of the event is to enhance awareness of Basque and raise funds to carry out this work on a daily basis in AEK study centers.
The first race took place in 1980 from Oñati (Gipuzkoa) to Bilbao
(Bizkaia). Since then, there have been 16 Korrikas held over 24 years.
This year we celebrate the 17th edition of korrika . It is going to
start in Trebiño and it will finish on April 17th in Donostia-San
Sebastian. It will cover a distance of 2,500 km and pass through 400
towns in the Basque Country.
This year's slogan is "Maitatu, ikasi, ari... euskala-kari" (Love,
learn, use Basque, euskalakari!). AEK and Korrika have named the people who love, learn and use the Basque language
